Services for New Americans Concord

Refugee Resettlement Volunteers Needed!

If your heart is called to help refugees as they rebuild their lives, this program is a way to make a tremendous impact!

We’re looking for compassionate volunteers who believe everybody should have a chance to create their best life.

As a volunteer, you will help facilitate refugee client needs, such as transportation for appointments, helping to ready living accommodations, making food deliveries, and/or serving as an English tutor.

Volunteers also expand the services we can offer by assisting with non-essential, but beneficial, opportunities like assisting with transportation for children’s sports or other enrichment activities.

You provide us with your availability and interests, and we help you build your ideal volunteer experience. You set your parameters, and we work with you to fulfill them!

Help Welcome New Neighbors to NH

Who Are Our Volunteers?

What does it take to be a volunteer? An open heart and mind, a desire to see families succeed, curiosity about other lands and cultures, the ability to establish boundaries, a sense of humor, and a good dose of patience.

Our Services for New Americans (SNA) volunteers in New Hampshire help refugees feel welcome in their new homes and country.

Hear from Terry Symula from Volunteer Team Harvard on her experience working with new arrivals.

What Are the Next Steps?

Attend one of our info sessions to meet with a member of our Services for New Americans team, hear from experienced volunteers, and ask any questions you may have!

We invite you to join us in this crucial moment to work toward a future that emphasizes unity, compassion, and shared humanity for all we serve.

We Need Caring and Supportive People Like You

Are You Qualified?

We want you to have ownership over your volunteer experience.  As a volunteer, it is up to you to determine what type of help you are willing to provide, although for some situations, we have greater needs for assistance.

No matter what, you will find your life enriched by getting to know and forming a bond with the clients you meet.

You will gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by refugees entering the country legally and trying to establish themselves in their new country.

You will see resilience through struggles, and know you played a part in mitigating a hardship.  You will find gratitude for things you probably never considered.  And, you will fall asleep at night knowing you played an important role in somebody else’s life at a time when they desperately needed you.
